{mosgoogle}Neoseeker has posted a review of the Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400. The Ballistix line is specifically built for performance enthusiasts who want to push the performance envelope without worrying about data loss or corruption, mysterious intermittent errors and display problems, or worse the dreaded BSOD!

We were able to overclock these modules up to 810MHz, not a major increase, but it does show that there is some elbow room in the modules. It is likely that with reduced timings (perhaps 5-5-5-12 or slower) we would have been able to increase the clock rate to the memory modules, however there is no real point, as it is simply not possible to pump that much data through to the CPU over the FSB.

The Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 dual channel memory kit can provide far more bandwidth than your current Pentium 4-based systems can currently use. You can rest easy that memory speed will not be the bottleneck in your system with these modules -- as a matter of fact, they should be fast enough not to limit performance until you reach a ~1600 MHz FSB on the Pentium 4 platform. This is the definition of "future-proof", or perhaps just an invitation to overclockers to let 'er rip.
