Page 1 of 4 Linking All Your Files

{mosgoogle}Let's face it, data backup is becoming more and more important these days. Today's computer do more than write letters and crunch numbers. They also used to host a huge amount of personal data.
Unlike Windows, personal data like photos, music and video can not be restored if a hard drive crash. For most people the cost of replacing a dead drive pales in comparison to all the personal memories lost. Hopefully you never experience a hard drive crash like I did a few years back. I lost over 2,000 photos, 5,000 MP3 files and my address book with over 500 contacts. Took me over a year to get those contacts back.
The LinkStation Network Storage Center from Buffalo Technology offers an easy and economic backup solution and adds 120 to 400 GigaBytes of network-attached storage. Basically, the LinkStation is a hard drive inside a self contain enclosure. You can place it anywhere you want and connect it to your home network via an Ethernet cable. Being a network drive means every computer on the network can use it to backup their data or share their files with other computers in the network. In addition to serving as a network storage and backup solution, the LinkStation can double as a print server to turn any USB printer into a network printer. With two USB 2.0 ports, an additional hard drive can be added for extra space or for backing up the backup.
Where To Buy It
The LinkStation Network Storage Center is available in five sizes; 120, 160, 250, 300 and 400 Gigabytes. Our test sample was the 160 GB unit and is available from online resellers for less than $200.00.
